I'm not sure what you mean; View works properly for me. Are you
using a custom .ui file by any chance?

missing (also in view update).
No custom .ui-file.

Yes.
It is probably not related to the configuration since an svn-
version from yesterday works fine (except for the Times-problem).

Update:
The View menu works after a sudo texhash. Strange...
Did you run the installer? That should have done sudo texhash after
adding .tex files; then launching LyX for the first time should have
done a reconfigure. I don't understand why it didn't work for you.
