From a quick glance, it looks very promising. And the author, Nicola Talbot, is well-known in the LaTeX community and has contributed several important packages. So it is probably well done internally. > Especially compared to gloss and glossary. glossary is from Nicola Talbot as well, and the announcement to glossaries states: *This package replaces the glossary package which is now obsolete.* So the question boils down to: gloss vs. glossaries.
