Well, Abdel has some kind of obsession of giving svn access to
everybody (but don't tell him I said that, he is so touchy) ;) If you
do want access we can do that, but if it is just to please us, I am
not sure it is necessary. Actually, I think that discussing patches
before applying is very very useful, and the impression of efficiency
gained by being able to commit comes at a cost.

That said, I am not opposed.

Hi!

I'd like to get commit access if possible, please. Have no fear --- I will certainly discuss any patches before applying, unless they're really very very minor (and at least at the beginning, I'll probably ask about those, too). I probably won't commit much, but there are a few instances in which I hope that'll keep the load off other developers just a bit.

Specifically, at the moment these are what I have my eye on:

* RTL crash patch (which Jose seems to agree should go into the beta, to get testing); * mark spaces as belonging to foreign language --- which I submitted last night (again, after having submitted it a month ago for the first time).

If I get access, could you please just send me a short refresher on the procedure --- do we still have to update anything besides the commit log? Does a patch sent to the mailing list with "any objections?", and which does not receive objections, qualify for commit? etc.

Thanks!
Dov
