I think we should depend only on released versions (4.2.something),
but we can support new features from snapshots...

Anyway, a nice toolbar is maybe not worth the potential instabilities
of a snapshot.

The nice toolbar isn't the issue. It's rather that with Qt-4.2, the TOC shows up in the drawer with a titlebar, which is both abnormal from a GUI perspective and risks users losing TOC functionality until LyX is restarted. Qt-4.3 fixes this problem.
