Huge bug in math pasting in RTL paragraphs

There's a big bug with pasting math data into math insets in RtL paragraphs.
I assume that something traverses the math text before entering it into the
buffer.
Can anyone point me to the location in the code where pasting stuff
(specifically into matheds) is?
