If you mean the support that LaTeX provides for Farsi, then the ARABI package provides the support for both Arabic and Farsi languages. There are some things that can be improved in LyX: 1) When writing in a Left-to-Right paragraph, mixing Farsi and Arabic is possible with ARABI, but in LyX for both of them the command "\R" is used. 2) Adding a Farsi keymap 3) Providing a short user guide on how to use Farsi with LyX. 4) ... (I'm trying to use it in practice and I will discover more!) There are some things that should be improved in ARABI which are not related to the LyX project, e.g. to become comptaible with IVRITEX package that provides support for Hebrew language, so that it becomes possible to mix these languages in a document. --------------------------------- Ahhh...imagining that irresistible "new car" smell?
