IMHO the easiest solution for this problem would be to not call this stuff "glossary" in LyX. Then in a later version a real glossary support could be added. The only problem with this is the docbook output. AFAIK docbook does not support a nomenclature or list of symbols. Maybe one could use variablelist, but it does not fit exactly. IMHO glossary should not be used, because it should be reserved for the future glossary inset. Georg
