In fact I don't agree either. I am fine with named constants in a .h
file.

As I already answered Geord, I was talking about the switch of mathed to _unicode_ and I would be astonished you disagree with me. You should try to read the whole thread before answering...


I am also fine with a plain text configuration file for a dynamic,
user-configurable set of items such as lib/symbols but I don't see a
need to have a well defined fixed set of items such as unicode in an
external file unless there's a specific need.

That's what I did at the end.
