I think this is a dialog-specific problem. In the past, there were other dialogs which, e.g., were suffering from a strange <tab> field order. Typically, this type of bugs is easy to fix for someone who is acquainted with Qt. Please add a bugzilla report such that this bug does not get forgotten.

hopefully things are a bit better now...

Tab order is indeed better, but (on Mac, at least) that only affects the text fields, which is not the problem I was reporting (which concerns the buttons).
