As far as I remember, since this is a sensitive code, Georg suggested (rightly
IMHO) to test it thoroughly.
i presume that bernard tested it. both georg and jmarc thought that it
looked ok. and since nobody has bothered to test it in the last couple
of week and since it fixes a bug i would put it in so that we can have a
second beta soon so that it get's some testing....
