I guess that then it is considered as an independent window and you have to use Alt-Tab. The same as when the TOC is undocked.

(One oddity with the <tab> key is that it doesn't work to go from main text to the docked TOC.)

This is because we want explicitly to stay there, especially within math or tables.

I would also like that the Tab key is affected to the "Promote" LFUN if we are within a section. And Shift-Tab would be affected to "Demote" of course.
