The only problems:
* The column of changebars seems to have random placement
when viewing dvi's - sometimes in the margin, sometimes in the
middle of text - sometimes no changebars can be seen at all.
I guess the bars sometimes go so far outside the text that they can't
be seen at all. All is fine with pdf though - and that's what I use.
* The \listofchanges is definitely in german regardless of document
language.
My changes package has version 0.4 I agree that this is not critical,
the list isn't really necessary when the name is printed next to each
change.
Do you use recent versions of the DVI viewers or do work on an older
system?
I use debian testing and texlive from that distro.
$ xdvi --version
xdvik version 22.84.10 (Xaw toolkit)
Libraries: kpathsea version 3.5.5, T1lib version 5.0.1
I have no idea if this is old or not - debian testing tend to be recent
enough.
Is there anybody else out there with the same problem?
For the moment, let's assume that we cannot do much to improve the
situation. Do you think that pdf support still justifies the package
change or will you object if I ask Jose to switch to
changebar.sty/changes.sty?
I have no problem with this, as I prefer pdf over dvi anyway.
Also, every change can have the author's name printed next to
it. So the changebars aren't critical - changes are visible anyway.
In any case, I will contact the author of changes.sty and ask him for
the translation problem (at least English should be the default
language).
The package is supposed to support languages, perhaps it simply
isn't yet translated to norwegian and english?
