Yes (but not a good one).
.dmg files on the Mac have their own .Trash folders, which get
preserved until they are emptied ... and there's no convenient way --
short of using the Terminal -- to empty them without emptying *all*
of the trash from every volume. After deleting the old LyX.app file
to replace it with Anders' new one, I just forgot to empty the trash.
Alas.
There's nothing wrong with the current file that's there; it's just
bigger than it should be. I've posted a "new" version (with an
empty .Trash folder) with the same filename in the same location:
