I don't understand why you need that. You just have to change your habit to use Ctrl-s. This is allowed and won't open the file menu.

I don't have strong opinion on this file menu item but I think that enabling LFUN_BUFFER_WRITE unconditionally is wrong, and it will have side effects besides that.
