I have now worked a lot with LyX 1.5svn. Besides some known remaining bug ist's quite stable, except
of these 3 bugs:

They make it very hard to work on larger documents. The unfortunately often
random format switches are so annoying that I can imagine many users won't like
LyX 1.5.
(Due to these bugs I switched back to LyX 1.4.4 when working on the
documentation, if possible.)
Although the bugs are a bit random, except of bug 3143 which is reproducible, I described some
recipes that often works for me to reproduce.
The bugs appear more often when working on larger documents like the userguide or the
EmbeddedObjects manual.
There's one typical thing for all bugs: No matter what random bug I have, it
can be resolved by
changing the cursor position and/or using the scrollbar.
I fear that fixing these bug, from whose I think they all have the same reasons, is enormously
tricky. But they must in my opinion be fixed before LyX 1.5. So I herby spend a sixpack beer for the
guru who is able to fix this ;-) .
