Whatever the solution you adopt, please consider the following. I don't know what you think, but for me lyx is a frontend to latex and I would like to be able to use lyx to do what I could have otherwise done in latex. Right now it is not possible to do in lyx all that is possible to do in latex, but workarounds are possible. If lyx starts behaving like word, letting you do what he wants rather than what you want, I think I will not be using lyx anymore. -- Enrico
