1.5 have become a joy to use, so I use it more and more for real work.
The biggest problem right now is scrollbar autorepeat that don't stop
immediately when the mouse button is released.
Load the user guide. Click the down-arrow on the scrollbar, and hold it
down for 5s. Observe how LyX keeps scrolling for two more seconds
after releasing the mouse. This makes holding down the
scrollbar arrows completely useless.
The same happens when clicking and holding down
inside the scrollbar, to get faster scrolling.
This brings us to the second smaller problem. Clicking in the scrollbar
is supposed to jump scroll in big chunks. My preference is almost
a full page, to get the speed up. Perhaps someone prefer a different size.
This is very uneven though, sometimes I get a single line only, such
as when scrolling through the user guide's
"4.3.1 Defining own keymaps"
Other times I get almost half a page.
The size of the jump scroll might be up for debate, but it should
definitely be even - the same distance everytime. Ideally it shouldn't
matter if we're scrolling through paragraphs of text, lists,
tables or images of various sizes. Just jump 90% of the
main window pixels, no matter how many or few paragraphs that might be . . .
