I think the differences are quite small but nobody seems to know what the actual differences are. The official code has proper support for multi-user environments, silent installation, non-admin installation and has a modular structure. I think adding the few missing things won't take longer than a couple of hours.
But if the final conclusion is that, even when I add more comments and all the requested features, there won't be a single installer in SVN, I don't think it makes sense to continue this discussion. Then I'll just spend my time on other things and you'll need to find someone else to create the Windows releases.
