  Well we did release one alpha, with some problems but that is what an alpha 
is for.

  We have set several goals for 1.5, Christian paste them here

  With Georg's commit of the unicode stuff, and Michael's work in change 
tracking I think that we are almost there.

  I intend just to fix lyx2lyx to support the whitespace changes in fonts. 
This is important.

  In all the other features above what is missing, before releasing the first 
beta?

  I would like to have a release date by the end of this thread. :-)

PS: Looking to the present state of the code I expect one beta release to be 
enough before going to release candidates. If the beta release proves me 
wrong I have no problem with another beta though.
