Sorry that I bring this topic again on the list. The goal was to merge the changes I made in my LyXWinInstaller builds to the official source.
There are now the following things left: --- the different toolbar --- Attached a Screenshot of the current toolbar. There are 4 extra buttons: - the linebreak button: It is in contrary to the one in SVN blue instead of read as this was requested. Personally I don't use this button but as this was requested several times and especially new users found this useful I added it. - one button to view DVI, one to View/Update DVi, and one to view PDF: all of them are needed for the standard workflow. Some users prefer DVi to prview the documents, therefore the first two buttons. Some, me also, prefer PDF to preview documents. There is no View/Update button, as this is not necessary for GSview and also for Adobe Reader. (Adressing Acrobat/Adobe Reader is very tricky, see part 2 of this thread.) I can also add a button for view PS if this is needed. For me the view PDF button is the most often used button af all and it seems to be the same for many users since whenever there was something wrong with it, I got lots of emails. regards Uwe
