No but the first choice for vector images used in presentations and when it should be embedded to a
paper or PDF, because of the scalability.
It is maybe _the_ format for distributing read-only
documents. I agree that postscript is unknown to many windows users,
but the number of real windows programs able to generate PDF is really
low AFAIK.
Really? I have here Inkscape, Origin, OpenOffice.org, MuPAD, BKChem, ... and with free available PDF
printers like PDFCreator you can generate PDF from nearly all programs that can print (often used to
PDF webpages from MS IE or Firefox).
But as I stated yesterday, I'll remove the PDFs that are dublicates of the already existing
EPS-images. I can't do it right now, I'll do it this evening if possible.
