That is a different problem. These menu entries should of course not exist
if there is no selection support. I will implement that if we decide to
keep them in general and if we are not going to use the clipboard as
Enrico wants it.
I will also implement proper enabling/disabling of these lfuns in
getStatus, that is currently missing.

Guys, I suggest that we don't spend another week on this issue. As long
as there are people who like to have the selection support in the menu,
let's keep the entries. They are placed in "Paste (special)" anyway, so
dummy users are free to ignore them. Full stop.
If there is a simple way to disable (or least deactivate) the selection
menu entries, then it's great. If not, let's focus on more important
things first (insetlatexaccent comes to my mind).
