Concerning the docs team: Everybody who has some time to work on the docs should just say "Here I am" and can start working.
I don't think we need a leader, but more someone who takes care about the docs and is responsible for changes, typos, mistakes, etc. I'm currently responsible for the docs in bugzilla and collected many things asked on the users list to the new docs and I plan to do this until the docs are ready for 1.5.0, or if the time is too short for LyX 1.5.1.
Personally, my next project will be to update of the documentation I wrote two years ago: http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/DocumentationDevelopment for LyX 1.5. regards Uwe
