reLyx can not handle the following simple LaTeX document:

The following list causes reLyx to crash.
\begin{itemize}
\item [{[1]}] Apparently, reLyx does not like this item.
\end{itemize}
\end{document}

When trying to import this LaTeX file within LyX 1.0.4,
I get the following error message:
