It would be nice to be able to access a popout version of the environment menu from the toolbar. In other words, have a little sticky button in the corner of the drop down list that puts the list in a separate resizable window. Here is an example from Open Office: http://documentation.openoffice.org/HOW_TO/word_processing/stylist.GIF. It doesn't have to be so complicated, of course.
