It does not look that this is difficult to do. There are two different (and orthogonal) ways to implement this: a) either on a per document setting, that complements the already available global settings option b) at text class level Probably this has been discussed before, either in this list or in bugzilla, this are just my 2¢ for discussion. I will support a change that fixes this before 1.5.0 -- José Abílio
