Sorry for not writing earlier, but I was incredibly busy. I'll try to
write for all the conversation:

Herbert, I did not create the confusion on the insetpagebreak and
/newpage. It was already there. I wanted to implement /pagebreak, but
in order not to deepen confusion between versions, I decided to leave
insetpagebreak inset as it is and to skip adding support for
\pagebreak. I agree that somebody should correct this, but not just
before the alpha release.

Georg, I just add two lines for the tex2lyx, to just give a hand to
the guy who will re-write the class/ script for the new version.
Please do not apply the patch, instead give it to the guy who will
implement the changes for tex2lyx for all the new features. Maybe it
will help him/her a bit.

Bo, Georg, thanks for reviewing and committing the patch.

Abdel, thanks a lot for your compliments. But first I am not that good
developer, second, it has nothing to do with being a good developer.
Jose has to put constraints for the release cycle, and I am sure he
has reasons if he rejects the patch. My story in /clearpage stuff is
like that: Somebod asked about this feature, smb else said it may be
really easy to do it and it would be nice if this can be added for the
alpha release. Finally I have written the code within 45 minutes and
sent the patch.

Now, if these features added for the lyx-1.5, (and apparently they
are) I'll be glad. If not, I'll appreciate people in the list do not
let them vanish forever and add for 1.6 cycle.

last and very IMPORTANT: I have sent a better patch in a separate mail
including a new feature "\linebreak", which was also asked in the same
mail that clearpage asked. I will be glad if you people review that
patch, be volunteer to support this feature (so, Jose can put it for
alpha), and commit, of course..

regards,

Ugras
