Yes. since the session file could be corrupted by other means it should be 
read in a fault tolerant way, i.e. if something invalid is encountered 
just ignore the rest and print a warning.

Exceptions are now allowed and should be used if they are help.

AFAIK turning off exceptions is not allowed anymore. I agree that the 
session file should not be corrupted at all when doing C-C.
