The advice on the list consistently seems to be that if I feel
forgotten, to just yell at the list. So here goes:
There is a patch for chars transpose at
http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2939, both against 1.4.X and
against the main trunk, which is just waiting to be tested and
committed. I realize that everyone is busy with the alpha release and
that chars-transpose is not exactly the most important thing; OTOH, the
patch is really simple, Jean-Marc has basically gone over code and
okayed it (not for the main trunk version, though, which has some minor
changes), and it doesn't affect anything else, so it shouldn't really be
a problem.
