Agreed. I do not like this 'feature' at all. I'd prefer an error instead of this 'pseudo image' (and BTW it does not work for pdflatex). It did happen more than once to me that I expiorted something to ps and only afterwards realized that an image was missing. Fortunately I always discovered it before sending the file to the print shop ... Georg
