I had a look at this patch and it looks ok. Jean-Marc would you care
to apply it? (I am on the wrong end of a 9.6Kb link...)

But: it seems to me that the current language support expects there to
be only two different languages, so later we will have to find a way
to generalize so that n languages in the same document will be
possible.
