I do not like that behavior either. I propose that
1. view->Documents show all documents that is opened in all windows
2. tabs only show opened documents in *this* window.
3. go to bookmarks, should be able to open a buffer in this window, be
the buffer opened in another window, or not opened at all.
I propose 1 since it should be simple to open a buffer that is already
opened in another window. This is often used to view different parts
of the same document.
I really think we should define such behaviors *before* things are
implemented, but we still get time to reach an agreement.
I agree with your arguments but it is wrong to say that we didn't discuss.
Peter's bar is a good first step toward this. If I find some time I will
implement the "nice" solution.
