Imagine some lyx user using both linux _and_ window and he really wants
the 2-pixels cursor. Are we going to say to him that it is not possible
to have the same behaviour on windows and linux?
Imagine if every other application had the same idea :(
I would agree if there was such desktop wide settings for editing cursor
but, AFAIK, there is none.
