Are you sure that Shark needs this?
As it turns out, it doesn't.
Nonetheless, that doesn't solve the problem. I now get only the
following appearing in Console.app when I try starting LyX from the GUI:
Wrong command line option `-psn_0_131989505'. Exiting.
(Notice that this is a different number than before.)
