There were cases where meeting indeed had this benefit; I think that
here this "wake-up call" comedy only managed to hide the real work

Use svn log. Jürgen committed from my account, because we did not want
to waste time doing unnecessary compiles.
We worked all days from morning till night. We did a lot of work. Most
of it did not result in commits, because we were trying to find out how
things worked, was supposed to work, fix it to work like it should, and
then remove all the poor work-arounds that did nothing but break things
more.
We had fun while doing it. I'm sorry if that offends you.
You mean that now we want to get unicode to work, while the only plan
before was to get unicode to work? Sorry, but I fail to see the
paradigm shift.
I hope that the focus will remain. Without someone leading the way and
telling where the goal is, LyX will wander around like a zombie and get
more and more broken, just like it has for the last months.
Finally, things are moving in the right direction: Every day, LyX is
becoming better. To enhance that focus, we had to remove some things
from the radar that were obscuring the goal.
Now it's up to you. Feel free to break the momentum. Whatever you do,
I'll be back next year and do my best again.
