José, I hope you did not do this search because of my complaints. I have 
nothing against the possibility to output _more_ characters than 1.4 
currently can, but what I was upset about was that you all seemed to agree 
that _less_ characters would be fine. Fortunately this issue seems to be 
settled now.
It is IMHO perfectly reasonable to release 1.5.0 with no user visible 
unicode improvement over 1.4 (apart from the GUI encoding issues which 
will be fixed for free with unicode and the euro symbol, see below) and 
postpone the real LaTeX wise unicode work to a 1.6 release.

Output of the euro symbol would IMHO be nice to have in 1.5, because this 
is requested a lot.
