The problem here is probably that actually noone of the LyX-Core team
does have a lot of experience with ispell (well Asger would have but he
is VERY busy and not coding at all right now *sigh* ). We have a running
ispell module and are happy with it. There is a lot of other stuff todo
and we all have also real jobs to realize. You know how Free-Software
works, everybody does that he likes to do as this is a Hobby and not
a job. So it's with us, we do what we really like to do #:O)
I promise to try out you patch and install aspell and psell-library on
my RedHat 6.2 system. I can tell you if I have problems and you can tell
me where I get dictionaries for german, italian and english and how I
can use them with aspell (I know how to produce and use them with ispell
as we already work quite some time with that ;)
I am happy with your work and hope you're not turned off only because
(maybe) noone of the LyX core team does find the time to code the ispell
module, keep up your good work!!!
