I am too busy right now to work on this, but have one question: Is it really a format change? What happens if an older LyX reads in the complete author list? What happens if a newer LyX reads an older document without the author list? Assuming it is a format change: What should be done in lyx2lyx on upgrade? What should be done in lyx2lyx on downgrade? If you can answer these questions (OK, more than one), then we can see how much work it would be. Georg
