That looks sensible. Note that something like that is already planned with the current file format: The encoding parameter that formerly specified both .lyx and .tex encoding has not been removed, but declared to specify .tex encoding only. We even have a GUI for changing the encoding, so the "only" part that is missing is to actually obey this choice in .tex export. It would be very nice if you could decide on how this will be implemented in Denmark. Georg
