Is there a pre-release tarball which I could compile? Would
svn co svn://svn.lyx.org/lyx/lyx-devel/branches/BRANCH_1_4_X lyx-1.4.x give me the right code? Do I need to run autoconf etc. before I can run configure, when I take it out of SVN?
