Are you sure you cannot come [to denmmark]?

I'd like to but it will be difficult.

I think going to Denmark will by far be the best way to solve the issues.

In the history of LyX, there has been a tradition of long and intense discussions about this and that. They could last for weeks or months, without any resolution.

On the other hand, at the meetings very complicated and important things are brought up, discussed for maybe 5 minutes, and then a decision was made.

It would be wonderful if such decision making process could be possible in the list as well.

Things are so much easier when you meet person to person.

Sure but it would be better if there was no need to meet the manager of a distributed project to really be effective in your contribution.

For instance, you will find that Lars is a reasonable person and a very nice guy - exactly the opposite of what you'd think when you only read his very short e-mails with half of the message. If you meet him, there is a chance that you will learn to fill in the missing half.

I am sure he his but that is not the problem. We should be able to work out the frictions without meeting face to face.

If the issue is money, I'm sure we can work something out. LyX has some money in the bank, and I'm sure we can find some willing sponsors to cover expenses.

Money is not the problem. Work load and family... But mucho thanks for the invitation.

Abdel.
