How many Stokke are there in Norway? From a search at mapquest.com I seem
be get a choice of at least five (9 possibles found)

It looks like the most likely candidate is near Stavanger. Should be a
lovely place then.

Shall I add a note to LDN?

I have good news and bad news. The bad news is I'm not going to make it
to the US. Sorry to disappoint you. You'll have to wait till next year
-- when we have the next Dev Meeting in NY? (Reasons -- limited time and
funds)

The good news is I have travel plans:
May 30th
^^^^^^^^ might be a day or two earlier I haven't actually bought any
         tickets yet.

Australia -> Copenhagen (1 day or so) -> Oslo -> train tour up to Narvik
(photos crossing the Arctic Circle, icicles hanging off my...there's a
bus involved there somewhere) -> Boden -> Stockholm ->Oslo (at least 8
or 9 days have now gone by)

June 7-8th
Find Stokke (either via train to Bergen/Flåm and then a ferry to somewhere
near Stokke, swim to shore, get rescued by lovely Norwegian girl, live
happily ever after...[a long time passes] where was I? Oh that's right
getting to Stokke... or via train to Stavanger if that's the right
Stokke).

LyX Developers Meeting -- woo hoo! I made it!

11th June?
Stokke -> Oslo on Lars' boat -> Copenhagen with Asger. After Asger kicks
me out (11th-14th?) -> Berlin (maybe a sidetrip to Hanover for Expo2000)
-> Prague (maybe) -> Vienna -> Innsbruck -> Bolzano (hello Jürgen!) ->
Venice -> Rome -> ... -> Paris

26-27th June
After Paris it's likely to be -> Singapore (2 or 3 days visiting friends)
-> Australia (don't want to be too specific now do I? Hopefully
Melbourne)

Straight to bed for some much needed sleep.

The "..." above will almost certainly include a visit to the Ferrari
factory and museum and likewise any other supercar manufacturers displays.
This is also where I either race directly to Paris to see JMarc before my
plane leaves or take a meandering tour through Switzerland and the south
of France depending on how many days are left.

I'm planning on getting a Eurorail Pass and sleeping on the train thereby
combining accomodation and transport costs ;-) It also means I can travel
when I want too (unlike planes) and don't have to worry about a car (by my
very rough calculations it'll probably be quite a bit cheaper than hiring
a car).

So now everyone who's offered me a place to stay should have a better idea
of when I'd be turning up. Still about 75 sleeps till the journey begins.
(and then about 30 days before I sleep again...)

Allan. (ARRae)
