I have had a problem that until now has been tolerable. Its not anymore.
I am working on a paper in the defalt article class that calls for inserting a lot of ascii text files, which I have download from the net in ascii text format and save in a file generated by KWrite.
I insert the text as lines and then need to take out the 'hard' spaces and returns. I also change 'titles' as I am doing this to various types (mostly, but not limited to, 'description' , 'paragraph*', 'subsubsection*')
The problem is that lyx shuts down (crashes?) at seemingly abitrary times. I don't have a clue what the problem could be. I have tried doing the editing from the end of the inserted ascii text file and from the beginning. If I am not clear in my description of the problem I will be glad to supply any needed info, just ask.
I am running 1.1.4 with the fixes installed.
Help! its driving me nuts having to start lyx so many times. :-(
A compliment to the developers though - Thank-you for having the emergency backup... it has saved my bacon every time the crash occurs with no seeming loss of text. :-)
