I've attached revised scripts. The gtkmmconvert script is newer than the
gtkmmconvert2 script so don't get confused by the names.

I think that I've just about exhausted what I can do with these scripts
for the moment. Once I've got xtl in then I may be able to do something
else there but for the moment these can be considered as complete as they
are going to get.
