Hi,
I don't know if it's still relevant but I must share it with you.
I was working in a math box inside a footnote and wondered "what will
happen if I try to insert a footnote here ?" what happend was that I
lost almost the whole document ! I was left with the last few lines :-{ 

I'm also attaching the file I was left with. On my machine some very
strange things happen when I press right  and left keys mainly I get
these messages and the cursor move to some unrelated place

Other than this last incedent I must say I'm increadibly happy with lyx.
I'm using it all the time and recommending it to all my friends.
