Hi,
I\'m doing a PhD in mechanical engineering, and use LaTeX for all of my
work. In a word LyX is fantastic; in that I don\'t get lost trying
to remember which bracket I was on, what heading I was under, ... I
managed to import my current TeX stuff OK (a few tweaks were needed),
and I\'ve now managed to do all the things I did before (but better);
well almost I haven\'t worked out how to add LAB files for figures.
I use to use emacs, which don\'t get me wrong is an excellent editor;
but it no where measures up to LyX for day to day work (still good for
tweaking thought). Just to sum up \"Superb\"

David.

P.S. I like the humour in the user guide :vD
