No there isn't and I wouldn't use 0.89 with lyx-1.0.4 and tabulars!!!
I already implemented tabulars as insets in the old lyx-devel and
will do this as soon as we have done other stuff in the new-devel branch.
Alejandro and myself also had horizontal scrolling of tabulars working
in this type of insets (that was one thing we did in the Mexican
Lyx Developers Meeting [MELDEM] :)
