I did not realize code cleanup was in such an imperfect state!  ;)

Seriously, I wasn't suggesting that we all drop what we're doing and
unit-test every class in the LyX source.  Some of us who can code but
have been daunted by the size of the source code, however, can build
unit tests.  Unit tests for cleaned-up classes and/or fundamental ones
should be feasable.
