Hello all, I have started a new "project" at CoSource.com. Its name is: MS Word to LyX and LaTeX format and viceversa If you want to contribute to this project follow the instructions below (I explain this because the cosource pages are a bit tricky): 1) Go to the web page http://www.cosource.com/ 2) Hit "Register" on the left side of the page. 3) Register as a "member". This is free of charge and does not force you to do anything. You have to wait to receive a code by e-mail before ending registration. The e-mail is sent pretty fast. 4) Go back to the main page http://www.cosource.com/ 5) Hit "Browse Requests" on the top left of the page. 6) A list of requests will appear. Hit "more" at the end of the list to get the whole list. 7) Hit "MS Word to LyX and LaTeX format and viceversa". 8) Hit "Add/Edit" on the left of the page. 9) Login if you are asked to. 10) Fill in the number of US dollars you are willing to pay to the project. This does not obly you to pay this amount, it is just an indication of your intentions, but you are not oblied to pay. At a later time, if someone bites the hook and wants to develop this, you will be asked if you REALLY will pay this amount of money. Currently I have "donated" 200 USD for this project. If you want to contribute (even with a small amount) please do so, and let's hope that somebody bites the hook :=) You can also add suggestions to the request I have made to improve it. There are also other open source development sites which are free, we could also apply to these if you feel so. I have chosen CoSource because they seem more "professional", but they do charge an amount for every project (when it is completed of course). The steps involved to develop a project are a bit complicated, but they seem to guarantee that everything will work. Xavier Calbet
