Do you use the static or dynamic xforms library? One has libxpm
built-in but with the other, it might happen that you have a dynamic
libxpm with version !=3.4k (the one used by xforms) and that there is
a binary incompatibility...
I'm not sure that what I wrote makes sense, but...
